If you have been a past supporter, we thank you!
Your generosity has given hope to hundreds of clients at Prado Day Center and made a real difference in their lives.
A few years ago, Prado Day Center welcomed about 70 people a day. Now the daily count averages between 90 to 120. Women and children make up the fastest growing segment of the client base. Circumstances vary, but the high cost of housing in our county and other situations — like escaping violent domestic situations or losing everything due to overwhelming medical expenses — have contributed to the increase in the homeless population.
Even ten additional clients per day per year equates to nearly $35,000 in additional operating costs … and this is just to continue status quo.
Friends of Prado Day Center is proud of the accomplishments to date and the tremendous assistance we've received from the community.
There will indeed be challenges ahead, but we hope you will join us as we move our mission forward.

The Prado Day Center relies on financial support from the community for daily operations, weekend hours, the children’s program, general supplies, facility repairs and maintenance... Joining the Legacy CircleThe Legacy Circle was established to recognize the generosity of individuals and families who have provided for Friends of Prado Day Center through a planned gift. Such gifts perpetuate the memory of the donor in good works that benefit the entire community and continue to reflect the donor’s values for generations to come. There are many types of planned gifts such as a bequest, charitable trust, or naming Friends of Prado Day Center as a beneficiary of a life insurance or retirement plan. You and your financial advisors can select a form of gift that carries out your desire to benefit the community through Friends of Prado Day Center, while at the same time realizing important tax savings and fully providing for the needs of you and your family.
